Ayoub is an Associate at Al Alawi & Co. and has been with the firm since 2018 under Corporate Department, in 2018 having worked for several law firms in Oman previously including an international law firm.
Ayoub works across a wide range of corporate/commercial matters including establishing various types of corporate bodies, contracting, due diligence, legal compliance, anti-dumping and anti-subsidy (countervailing duties), banking, and legal research and analysis. He also works and assists in many litigation and arbitration cases.
Ayoub has acted as board secretary and/or legal consultant in general meetings for several joint stock companies. In addition, he was in the team representing OCTAL SAOC and the Government of the Sultanate of Oman against petitioners from the USA claiming dumping of the USA market and governmental subsidies to OCTAL. They succeeded in establishing that the subsidies were de minimis (i.e. insignificant).
Ayoub has good contacts at the MOCI, the CMA, and the MSM and provides compliance advice regarding procedures thereof. He also represented numerous clients in various contractual agreements and advised clients in matters concerning employment, construction, corporate governance, and many more.
Ayoub acted as a legal consultant in a company which manages a promising and fast developing industrial city. He has drafted numerous agreements, minutes (board, shareholders’, committees), MoUs, NDAs, etc. He has deep knowledge with regards to internal corporate procedures and compliance. He has also been involved in a number of arbitration cases.
Ayoub received his Bachelor of Laws (LLB) with honors from the University of Hull, England.
